The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is turning to the public for assistance identifying one of two men suspected in an assault with a weapon investigation.

• Suspect: A Caucasian man in his 20s with a dark, thick moustache, is wearing a black WhiteSox cap. The hood of his white camo sweater is pulled up over the cap, and a cross-body fanny-pack with green zipper flies is across his upper body.

On Feb. 10, 2023, around 8:20 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to a bus stopped at Tranquille Road and Poplar Street, where two men in their 20s assaulted a man in his 60s with blunt force objects.

One of the men was quickly identified, but the second one still remains unknown at this time, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. Police are releasing an image of the unidentified man in hopes that someone will recognize him and contact the detachment, or that he’ll do the right thing and come forth to help further the investigation.
