Police Investigate Assault at Spring Carnival

On March 16, 2024 at approximately 9:32 pm, the Surrey RCMP received a request for assistance from the Surrey Fire Department at the north parking lot of the Guildford Town Center where Spring Carnival 2024 was occurring for a possible assault.
Members were onscene attempting to determine what had occurred when they observed a fight break out and quickly intervened.
A female suspect was taken in to police custody and a female victim was transported to area hospital for medical treatment.
The matter is still under investigation and it is unknown if there is any prior relationship between the victim and the suspect.
