Fire destroys Parksville commercial building

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on November 9, 2022 Parksville Fire Department and Oceanside RCMP responded to a structure fire at the Parksville Heritage Centre in the 1200 block of Island Highway East in Parksville.

The fire has destroyed several businesses in the complex. There were no reported injuries.

At this point, the cause of the fire has not been determined, says Sergeant Shane Worth of the Oceanside RCMP. Police and fire investigators will be on scene during the day working together to determine the cause.
