Charges approved in Five Corners 2016 fire

After a lengthy investigation by White Rock RCMP Serious Crime, charges have been approved into the May 15th, 2016 arson fire in the 15200 block of Pacific Avenue, White Rock, B.C.

On February 1st, 2023, the B.C. Prosecution Service approved seven (7) charges including the arson.

Charged is James Adrian DYER, 24 years of age, of Surrey, BC.

DYER will be making his first court appearance on Thursday February 23rd, 2023 at the Surrey Provincial Courthouse.

Our investigators have worked tirelessly to bring this investigation to the charge approval stage. It showcases the dedication and commitment our police officers have to their work and to public safety, states Constable Chantal Sears.

This investigation is now before the courts, no further details will be released and White Rock RCMP will not be commenting further.
