Check well being

On July 3rd, the Quadra fire department requested officers attend to assist with a man lying in the ditch. Officers attended and spoke with the man who was now sitting roadside with his bike. The man, who was medically fine, claimed he simply didn't want to ride his bike as he was tired and subsequently ordered the police to drive him home. The man's request was denied as police were unwilling to moonlight as a taxi service. The man finally agreed to bike home without incident.

Break and enter?

On July 4th Quadra RCMP received a report of a possible break and enter in progress. The complainant advised that she believed that a home situated on her property had been broken into. The complainant believed the tenant wasn't home and wanted police to attend. Officers arrived soon after and spoke with the tenant who confirmed she was home and the break and enter was unfounded. Original complainant updated.

Suspicious incident

On July 8th, a complainant reported a suspicious occurrence that occurred at his residence in the South part of the Island. The complainant reported a few days previous, a white truck had come down his driveway but took off quickly when the homeowners went outside. While officers were on scene, another neighbour also advised that the same vehicle was possibly involved in a theft on his property. The vehicle was described as a white Dodge with a female and male occupant. The complainant provided a license plate, however, it was terminated and not attached to an owner.
