File # 2023-6748

On Wednesday November 8th, 2023 at 1217 hours a male dressed as delivery driver stole a package from a doorstep in the 900 block of Kent Street, White Rock, BC. The male casually walked up from the street wearing a high visibility vest and took the package and walked off.

It’s that time of year where more packages will be delivered to residences as people begin to purchase holiday gifts for loved ones. It’s important that shoppers take extra steps to prevent being a victim of porch piracy Says Constable Chantal Sears, If you are expecting a package, have it delivered when you are home or have a neighbour watching for it and have them bring it in for you. There are also other options to have your packages delivered to a pickup location. Amazon offers package pickup in White Rock free of charge at these locations: Hillcrest PO 1463 Johnston Rd or White Rock PO, 15105 16th Ave.

Anyone with information regarding the theft or who can identify the male is asked to call White Rock RCMP at 778-545-4800 and quote file number 2023-6748. To report any crime in progress call 9-1-1.
